You are likely seeing this error because you are transferring Plates (Dealer Transfer Plates in VERIFI) and the entered registration details do not match the DMV's records.
This usually happens when the registrant’s information has not been entered correctly.
Please re-check the following fields:
- Plate Number
- Registration Class of Plate
- Registrant's Name (First and Last for an individual or an Organization’s name)
- Registrant’s Date of Birth (N/A for Organizations)
- Registrant’s Sex (N/A for Organizations)
Please note:
The Registrant information has to be in the same order if there are Co-Registrants; the primary registrant is the first name on the registration (Registrant) and the secondary registrant is the second name on the registration (Co Registrant)
