Yes, you need to retain a copy of your paper Book of Registry for document retention compliance even after you start using VERIFI and the VERIFI electronic Book of Registry. Please make sure that once you start using VERIFI, all your active inventory (vehicles available for sale) is in the VERIFI Book of Registry.

Please note: Used Car (DLU) dealers in New York City must continue to maintain a paper Book of Registry along with the electronic VERIFI Book of Registry for DCA (Department of Consumer Affairs) compliance. We will advise if this changes.
