No, the date you submit the eMV-50 is the date that will be printed on the eMV-50.
VERIFI will also not permit back-dating a submitted eMV-50.
Dealers and OEMs should not rely on the eMV-50 as proof of sale. Use the bill of sale.
However, VERIFI will allow “saved” eMV-50s to be printed. A printed “saved” eMV-50 will include a date/time stamp when the eMV-50 was initiated. A printed “saved” eMV-50 can be used to establish the date of sale for a manufacturer or lending institution if they agree to accept it. The PDF version of the saved eMV-50 will feature a “Saved – Pending Submission” watermark.
Bear in mind, that the date of eMV-50 will remain the date it was submitted, not the date a “saved” eMV-50 was printed. No MV-50# will be assigned and no TCR will be available until the eMV-50 is submitted.
