Can I cancel a plate transfer?

VERIFI will prompt the Dealer to attest to the following:

“Pursuant to DMV Commissioner’s Regulations section 78.18, I attest that the customer never took possession of the vehicle and has effectively cancelled the sale.” before the plates can be returned to the plate inventory.  If you can certify that the plates never left your lot, you can cancel the transfer and the plates will go back into your plate inventory and you can reassign them.
