Will VERIFI let Dealers (Plate Issuance Partners) issue plates out of sequence

For Dealer’s in DMV’s Plate Issuance Program, issuing plates out of sequence is not permitted.  Commissioner’s Regs Section 78.23(d)(3) says, “the dealer shall exhaust the supply of plates in a series previously issued to them before issuing plates from a supply of plates in that series delivered later.  He shall also issue plates within a series within any one delivery made to him in alphanumeric order”.  In other words, the dealer must issue plates in sequential order.

For Dealers in DMV’s Partnering Program, VERIFI will not assign a plate to a submitted eMV-50, nor will a TCR be generated.
