MV-82DEAL Update and Altered Vehicle Paperwork Submission

On 10/1/2024, DMV updated its “Vehicle Registration/Title Application for Dealer Sales” (MV-82DEAL) form.

There were substantial revisions made to the MV-82DEAL which brought the formatting consistent with the overall MV-82 series of forms.

Effective 10/8/2024, the updated MV-82DEAL (print date 1/24) has become the default registration and title application in VERIFI and become available at https://dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv82deal.pdf.

The previous version of the MV-82DEAL (print date 7/22) will continue to be accepted by DMV for vehicles purchased until 10/15/2024.

The updated version of the MV-82DEAL (print date 1/24) will be the only version accepted by DMV for vehicles purchased 10/16/2024 and later.

Altered Vehicle Paperwork Submission Reminders:

• All vehicles altered to increase seating capacity beyond that provided by the original manufacturer (commonly known as a limousine or stretch limousine) MUST be submitted Centrally for DMV processing.
• Altered Vehicle (AV) transactions CANNOT be processed at a DMV Office or Partner location.
• Applications, payment, and proof documents should be mailed*, within 5 days from the date an eMV-50 is submitted, directly to:
